When you enter the kitchen, we have a custom-made countertop created by a local artist that looks like the frothy ocean washing onto the shore. Layers of blues and hints of golden sand will give you the feeling you're on the ocean, even when you're under a roof. The aquamarine backsplash glitters like jewels and the kitchen bar opens up to a large living and dining area with beachy rattan that give a casual and relaxed vibe. Another local artist has created a watery painting that ties in the ocean wave theme. There is even a separate mini-bar stocked with cocktail glasses, shaker, champagne bucket and more, if you feel so inclined to indulge on your vacation. A teak bistro awaits you on the balcony that overlooks palm trees and hibiscus bushes, where the ocean breeze will rustle their leaves, as you enjoy a coffee, tea, or beverage. The master bedroom is decorated in a traditional coastal style, which is a peaceful space of blues and creams. From the master bedroom's window, you can see just a slice of the ocean above the palm tree's tops, which is just enough of a tease to draw you down to the boardwalk to go see it in person. The bottom bed is a double/full, and there is a trundle bed that can roll out from beneath, if needed. Above are two separate twin beds for those who call "top bunk!" The room and linens are all decorated with anchor motifs, nautical knots, compasses, and ship wheels. Separate from this bedroom, but only one foot away, is a second bathroom, newly renovated in teal and white. The entire apartment is stocked with items that will make you feel at home. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer, and all of the necessary kitchen items you'll need to do your own cooking while on vacation. All of the basic necessities you'd expect, such as an ironing board, extra pillows and linens, coffee, or miniature shampoos are tucked away in closets and cabinets for your use. The condo is family-friendly with a pack-n-play and bathroom stool available for little ones. There is a guide book made by the owner with personal tips and recommendations for making the most out of your St. Augustine vacation, and even maps and coupons for discounts at local eateries. The Ocean and Racquet resort has wonderful amenities you can take advantage of while you stay at The Wave Home. There are 2 pools (one is Olympic-sized, the other is smaller and heated) and 5 jacuzzi hot tubs. The Wave Home is in Building #4 which is a Jacuzzi Building, meaning that there is a jacuzzi in the center of the building's courtyard. So you can simply walk downstairs and have a luxurious soak. Our building is also the closest building to both swimming pools--so it's a very easy and quick stroll to have a relaxing swim. The pool bathrooms are spacious and clean. There is a large pond on the property stocked with fish for your fishing pleasure at the dock. There is a racquetball court and tennis courts as well. If you did not pack your own racquets, you can borrow some from the office. There is a beautiful clubhouse that is available to rent as well, if you have a large party or special occasion you would like to celebrate. There is a grilling area as well if you would like to have a barbecue. The resort is guarded and safe, and well-maintained with lovely landscaping--primarily palm trees and large flowering hibiscus and oleander bushes. Just a short walk from the building are two boardwalks with private access to St. Augustine Beach via a lovely stroll through the sand dunes. With fluffy white sand and aqua and blue ocean water, THIS is the whole reason for vacationing here. It truly is stunning. This condominium resort is situated in the perfect location. In one direction, you are less than a mile away from a shopping center for groceries, gas, souvenir/beach shops, restaurants, etc. and, in the other direction, you are less than a mile away from the beach center where the local bars and seafood restaurants are mostly gathered together. Our condo is a corner unit, so all of the views are doubled. One wall of the living room is full of windows so you can sit back and enjoy the view of the amazing sandy beach. The living room is very spacious and contains a leather sofa and easy chair with ottoman that you can melt into. Plus a big TV with a VCR and DVD player. Set up your laptop or I-Pod (free wireless Internet at Quail Hollow!).
